The Careers and Transition Team team supports students to actively plan for their future and make a successful transition to post-school education and employment.
Students are encouraged to have a career discussion and to seek support whenever they feel they need to. Often this is because a student is concerned about their program of study, career goals or are not sure where they’re headed or why they’re doing what they are doing.
The team organises for students to attend a wide variety of career events, in-school presentations and arranges work experience placements.
To assist our students the careers office offers a variety of services for students:
- Assisting students with subject selection.
- Creation of learning pathways within the college.
- Information on TAFE and University Pathways.
- Individual interviews on Career planning.
- Extensive community and industry links.
- Innovative workplace learning opportunities.
- Coordination of nationally accredited qualifications (RSA, RCG, Whitecard, First Aid)
- Assistance with resume compilation and interview preparation
